Information, Education and Training

These services consist in a series of talks and workshops, directed to schools and other educational institutions, private or public.

Talks: The talks are directed to parents and teachers, the main actors of the educational system. Our aim is to provide useful and up-to-date information that will help them address a variety of frequent and important issues, problems and doubts, in relation to the education of children and adolescents.

Workshops: (hacer link) Additionally, in our circle of workshops we offer the possibility to address a large variety of issues in accordance to the needs of those who consult us, aiming to provide useful tools and information that help parents and educators to overcome in positive, creative and constructive ways challenges inherent to the upbringing and education of children and adolescents.

List of Talks:

A significant number of social changes has brought about transformations both in the family as well as at school, redefining the roles that each occupy in the education. Current life makes it every time more necessary to come to an understanding/consensus between the two in favor of a more integrated and harmonious education. How can parents collaborate in the classroom from their homes? How can teacher and tutors support and enrich from school the parents' work from home?

Every class is a small ecosystem in which professors and alumni need to interact and work with a large diversity of ways of being, acting, feeling, which are based in the family and the culture we are surrounded by, Values, norms, limits are fundamental elements in order to overcome the challenge of successful learning at school, that prepare our children and adolescents for a world of increasing complexity and challenges.  We focus and get to know the strongholds and resources of the classes' inhabitants, the capacities as well as positive and negative leadership, and reflections on how we can encourage the "synergy" of the group in a climate of cooperation.

Theme: How to promote an environment of respect, cooperation and tolerance towards the differences. Leadership, authority figures: How to exercise authority without being authoritarian. Deconstruct the "malice" of authority. Co-create limits, norms and boundaries of cohabitation. Talk for parents and teachers.

Themes: The arrival of adolescence. Time of conflict or transformation? Autonomy vs. Dependence. What can we learn by our children during this stage?

The parental team, norms and boundaries. "Obligations and rights" of an adolescent, "obligations and rights" of a parent. The challenges the family has to face at this stage. Talk for parents.

Themes: Failure at school; dropping out. The meaning of education in today's world. The meaning we attribute to "learning". Expectations in relation to the education and training of our children. How to support them in their educational project and activate their potential.

Themes: Normal adolescence and how to identify signs of alarm. When we need to worry about our young. When, how and to what degree our intervention may be needed.  Talk directed to parents and teachers.

Themes: Decoding our children's behaviour: what do they want to communicate? The importance of play in child development and the creation of spaces that promote healthy and constructive relationships between parents and children. Talk directed to parents and teachers.

Themes: Problems in eating behaviour. Prevention and treatment. Food: When can it turn into a problema? When is it used as a means to express emotional discomfort? From physiological needs to emotional needs. Social distortions. Talk directed to parents.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For those who are not yet familiar with our work, we offer the possibility to do one of the above talks, with a 70% discount.
